Summary of Proposed 2010 Constitutional Amendments
Statewide Amendment #1: Allow fees to be charged to collect special ad valorem taxes.
Statewide Amendment #2: Allow special county educational taxes to pass by a majority vote, instead a three-fifths vote.
Statewide Amendment #3: Allow the appropriation of funds in the Alabama Trust Fund to state and local transportation purposes, as well as provide funds to the County and Municipal Government Capital Improvement Fund.
Statewide Amendment #4: Prohibit a municipality outside Blount County from imposing ordinances for inside Blount County.
Local Amendment for Madison #1: Prohibit the imposition of an occupational tax.
Local Amendment for Madison #2: "To establish a procedure by which a dog can be declared dangerous, to impose civil penalties on the owner of a dog that inflicts severe personal harm on another person, and to require that dangerous dogs be kept in a fenced enclosure with input from the local humane society."
Local Amendment for Limestone #1: Prohibit the imposition of an occupational tax.
Local Amendment for Morgan #1: Prohibit the imposition of an occupational tax.
